What goes better with pooch-themed slots games than Peppermint Bark?
Just in time for the holiday season, we've got a brand-new puppy-themed slots game called Puppy Paws and a fabulous recipe for Christmas Peppermint Bark - a great addition to this year's list of festive baked goods.
It's made with just two ingredients, looks very festive and tastes even better!
Holiday Peppermint Bark
Ingredients
• 1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips
• 24 hard peppermint candies (or just use candy canes)
• Optional: 1 package of dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
1. Line baking sheet with waxed paper.
2. Microwave white chocolate chips in medium, microwave-safe bowl on medium-high (70 percent) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
3. Place peppermint candies in heavy-duty plastic bag. Crush candies using rolling pin or other heavy object. While holding strainer over melted white chocolate, pour crushed candy into strainer. Shake to release all small candy pieces through the strainer and into the melted mixture; reserve larger candy pieces for later. Stir melted white chocolate and peppermint candy mixture.
4. Spread mixture to desired thickness on prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with reserved larger candy pieces; press in lightly. Let stand for about 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces. Store in airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge.
**OPTIONAL: Melt dark or semi-sweet morsels before the white chocolate chips, and spread the dark melted mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and pop it into the freezer. While that is firming, melt the white chocolate and add small peppermint candy pieces. Then spread it over the dark chocolate and put back into the freezer. Break into pieces and store in container or serve!
